Twist, twirl, and dance into summer fun! In this delightful class, the kids will create a maypole together as a group, decorate it with bright ribbons and flowers, and then learn how to bring it to life with traditional (and not-so-traditional!) maypole dances.

We’ll explore the history behind this joyful celebration, then jump right into the hands-on fun—painting poles, choosing the prettiest ribbons, and learning playful steps and patterns to dance around the maypole as a group. Expect music, movement, a little bit of laughter-tangling, and a whole lot of celebration!

It’s the perfect mix of art, culture, and movement—and a magical way to welcome the spirit of summer.

There will not be a take-home piece of art for this class, but there will be pictures!
